Lock changes across England: our last 12 months
Between 8 November 2025 and 7 November 2026 our locksmiths completed 4,813 lock changes in 89 postcode areas across England. The figures below come from our own job records. They show where we work and what we fit most often.
Lock changes by city, last 12 months
We also work across smaller towns: in the last year our locksmiths changed locks in 89 of England's postcode areas, from Colchester to Newcastle.
What we change most
- Euro cylinders are the part we fit most often, on uPVC and composite doors. The most common size is 70mm (35/35).
- British Standard upgrades. Many customers move to a British Standard cylinder or a 5 lever British Standard deadlock, often because their insurer asks for one.
- Mortice locks and nightlatches on timber doors, and multipoint mechanisms and gearboxes on uPVC doors that will not lock.
